About Doctor Scott

Dr. Matthew Scott pursued his Doctorate of Chiropractic after he graduated from Fresno State with a degree in Exercise Science. While at Fresno State, Dr. Scott played baseball for the Bulldogs with a possible professional future until he suffered a career ending elbow injury. After the help of Chiropractic throughout his life and with his surgical rehabilitation, Dr. Scott enrolled in Chiropractic College at the Southern California University of Health Sciences and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2010.

"When I was 16, I got out of the shower, picked up a towel off the floor and my neck went into such a severe spasm that I couldn't get up from the floor for 20 minutes. When I was 19 and pitching at Fresno State, I developed a shoulder impingement that prevented me from lifting my arm past 90 degrees without incredible pain. When I was 23 and rehabilitating my elbow from Tommy John surgery, I continued to have pain in my elbow when I would throw...18 months after surgery. Chiropractic helped me get out of every one of those jams. Now it is time for me to give that gift to the people in my community."

Chiropractic Philosophy

Dr. Scott's goal in practice is to show people the healing power of Chiropractic and how it can help them overcome injury, restore function and maintain their spine and nervous system so that they may lead healthier more fulfilling lives. As a competitor and athlete himself, Dr. Scott understands the athlete's passion to return to their sport quickly. Dr. Scott hopes to share Chiropractic with anyone he can and help them experience and understand how Chiropractic heals and prevents injury and disease.

"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure? You bet. Weekend warriors, CrossFit athletes, working Mothers, software engineers, students and teachers find relief with Chiropractic. But it's the people that recognize that they feel better after an adjustment even when they're not in pain that benefit the most."
